Yellow Emerald Mining Company, LLC seek Operations Director in St. Clair, MI, and other U.S. locations as needed.

Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organization's mission - specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning. Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (Inventory, Cruise Ship Trunk Show bookings, Vendors, Customers, Finance), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions. Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls for cruise ship business. Supervise and coach office staff on a weekly basis. Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals. Managing day to day processing of accounts receivable and payable using software developed for the Yellow Emerald Mining Company producing reports as requested. Reconcile monthly activity, generate year-end reports, and fulfill tax related requirements in regard to inventory cost movement / profit for cruise ship sector. Ensure that Accounting Department requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner to internal and external parties for cruise ship sectors. Develop long-range forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans on development for cruise ship sectors. Develop, maintain and monitor all inventory, trunk shows, logistics, billings and receipts and for the recording of all revenue transactions with cruise line partners, recommend and implement improvements to systems to increase profitability in cruise ship sectors. Prepare annual audit and be a liaison with all outside vendor including cruise line partners. Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence and business development with cruise line partners. Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy.

Applicant must possess a High School Diploma plus two (2) years working on cruise ships in a retail capacity. Experience ordering customs clearances, shipping and handling of fine jewelry, international knowledge of logistics, knowledge of maritime laws including the Jones Act, and knowledge of customs rules and regulations in Asia, Australia, EU, South America, Caribbean. Requires travel to selected Caribbean islands and cruise ship ports with in the U.S.
